Ever since June of 1997, I had been searching for a hospital which would be able to treat my hematuria (blood in urine) condition. On August 6, 1997, I was sent to the hospital adjacent to the Jiu Zhou University for further testing but was released in less than three weeks because the cause was never discovered. During this period, I was not taking any medication. On August 20, 1997, a duct was inserted into my ureter. The doctor found three tumors in the middle part of the left ureter and suggested that we perform a surgical procedure to cut off the left ureter and the kidney on the same side. The diagnosis of cancer was finally confirmed.
